Husband-and-wife chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke split the stage: he leads the French kitchen, she runs the pastry side that won her a James Beard Award in 2023. Morning calls for a croissant or kouign-amann straight from the case. At brunch, join the cult of the kimchi fried rice or go for the skillet shakshouka. The space
One of the most beautiful rooms in Los Angeles: a long hall of exposed brick arches under skylights, patterned tile floors, a pastry counter that looks like a jewelry display, and an open kitchen flickering at the center.
