The sorority was founded in 1928 with the assistance of Helen Tomio Mizuhara and Alyce Asahi. On April 5, 1929, the sorority was recognized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of its establishment, the sorority had only 14 students, and a year later, it was recognized by UCLA. As of 2002, the number of members increased to 65 people. The goal of the sisterhood was to protect against racism and segregation so that all members could feel at home at the university. This purpose, principles and traditions have been passed down through generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The girls who are part of the sorority express their Asian-American identity through fashion, food and traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be added that during the Second World War, the sorority was inactive because most members could not attend the institution. The founder was Margaret O\u2019Hara, who was awarded a Panhellenic Scholarship because she was mistaken for a girl of Irish descent. It was established on March 10, 1966. The goal was to bridge differences, if any, club members sought to raise awareness by seeking recognition of their rights by the university as well as the Greek system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, public works are the main activity of the fraternity. After nine years, the brotherhood already had 6 chapters. Then Lambda Phi Epsilon representatives met on campus for the annual National Convention.
